"Amusement Park Planet"
![]() Hover robot |
General
description Robots like this one are deployed for various repair and transport tasks on the Amusement Park Planet. Their planform is triangular, with three retractable tentacles. The robots typically hover 1 to 2 meters above the ground. |
Known probes No name given |
| Annotations The hover robots could be seen in TAS: "Once Upon a Planet"; one of them carried away the "dead" Spock. |

Klingon
D7 "Tribbles" variant D7 "Time Trap" variant |
General
description The D7 class is in use by the Klingon Empire during the 2260's. An essential component of their propulsion system is called "S-2 graf unit". Some Klingon vessels of this time are equipped with a stasis weapon that disables a ship's power systems. Article: The Everlasting Klingon Battlecruiser |
Known ships IKC Klothos |
Annotations![]() 1)
The Klingon D7 battlecruiser
from the live-action series shows up in two variants in TAS:
"More Tribbles, More Troubles" and in "The Time
Trap", respectively. Both have in common a torpedo tube
protruding from the spherical part of the command section, where the
D7 miniature has a deepening. Actually, in TAS it is the first time
that we can see the ships fire from there, which will be picked up in
TMP. Also, a detail, possibly something like a Bussard collector, on
the forward end of the nacelle is green on both variants. Otherwise
the animated incarnations are identical to the hardware version of the
D7, discounting some of the usual inaccuracies of the drawings, like
the bridge dome and the pod on the dorsal aft end which occasionally
appear to be white. The bridge design is the same in both TAS
episodes.2) There are only subtle dissimilarities between the two TAS variants. In "More Tribbles, More Troubles" the lettering on the hull is white, and the Klingon emblem is in full color (yellow, red, green and blue). In "The Time Trap" the writing is red, while the Klingon emblem is now composed of just two unusual colors, yellow and green. 3) Kor said in DS9: "Once More Unto the Breach" that he commanded an old D5 cruiser named Klothos in an attack on a Federation outpost. This must have been around 2270. In TAS: "The Time Trap", taking place in 2269, we could already see the Klothos as a slight D7 battlecruiser variant. Ronald D. Moore suggested that these vessels could be indeed the missing D5. But this idea has since been overruled by the very different design that was verbally identified as D5 on Star Trek Enterprise. So either old Kor was mistaken, or he simply switched vessels between the two missions from an old D5 to a new D7 of the same name. 4) According to the Star Trek Concordance, the ship commanded by Koloth in "More Tribbles, More Troubles" is named (IKS) Devisor. This name is not mentioned in the episode itself, and even though it might be in the script, I ignore it because if for anything alien the Latin name would be only fitting for a Romulan vessel. Moreover, it could be still the IKS Gr'oth from DS9: "Trials and Tribble-ations" despite the color difference. See also Klingon Ship Classes |

Kukulkan
Ship, normal ![]() Ship, as Quetzalcoatl |
General
description The design of this big vessel under the control of the entity known as Kukulkan is unknown to Starfleet. It is composed entirely of crystallized ceramic. While the vessel is protected by an immense energy field, a forcefield that absorbs any energy emission of other ships is available as non-lethal offensive armament besides conventional beam weapons. The field manipulation technology also allows the ship to project around the hull the image of a winged serpent, the Quetzalcoatl of ancient Mesoamerican mythology. |
Known ships No name given |
| Annotations Spock says about this vessel encountered in TAS: "How Sharper than a Serpent's Tooth" that "it's twice our size". |

Kzinti
Traitor's Claw type |
General
description The Traitor's Claw is a saucer-shaped vessel with spherical engine pods on either side. The ship has a retractable landing gear. Originally serving as a police vessel, it was stolen and now operates as a privateer unofficially on behalf of the Kzinti government. |
Known ships Traitor's Claw |
Annotations 1)
The
Kzinti ship named Traitor's Claw could be seen in TAS: "The
Slaver Weapon". We could only see it from the front, so there is
just an orthographic fore view.2) On a humorous side note, the Kzinti ship is pink because the color is common in animation as opposed to live action, as unbecoming this may be for fearsome enemies. Being color-blind, Hal Sutherland, the director, didn't notice that. |

Motherlode
Hovercars, seen
on Motherlode in TAS: "Mudd's
Passion"
Several different vehicles which were obviously intended to be hovercars were
visible on the planet surface. Some of them look quite modern, remarkably sleek like
cars of the early 21st century, considering that TAS is from 1973.

Negative Universe
![]() Ship |
General
description Exploration is the primary purpose of the bizarrely shaped ship from the negative universe under the command of Karla Five. |
Known ships No name given |
| Annotations In TAS: "The Counter-Clock Incident" this vessel achieved a ludicrous speed of Warp 36 and could even be locked on with a tractor beam from the Enterprise! |
Class
specifications Max. speed: Warp 36 |
Orion
![]() Orion raider |
General
description The design of this Orion vessel is unknown to the Federation in the late 2260s. It operates without official authorization by the neutral Orion goverment but probably with its silent approval. Its engines leave a trail of radioactive waste. The Orion ship is armed with phasers unable to penetrate the Enterprise's deflector shields. |
Known ships No name given |
| Annotations The Orion ship appeared in TAS: "The Slaver Weapon". We could see it exclusively from the front, so there is only an orthographic fore view here at EAS. While they are called "Or-I-on" everywhere else in Star Trek, they are pronounced "Or-ee-on" in TAS. I still assume that they are the very same species, as their skin color appears to be green (actually in TAS it would be the first time that we see male Orions). |

Phylosian
![]() Ship |
General
description The surviving Phylosians have mothballed many of these drop-shaped vessels and begin to reactivate them in 2269. |
Known ships No name given |
| Annotations As seen in TAS: "The Infinite Vulcan", the Phylosian ships appear to be slightly irregularly shaped and they strongly resemble plant germs, especially bearing in mind that the Phylosians themselves are plant-like beings. |

Romulan
D7 "Survivor" variant D7 "Joker" variant |
General
description The Romulans operate a number of D7 cruisers of Klingon design around 2269/70. |
Known ships No name given |
Annotations 1)
As already seen in TOS: "The Enterprise Incident", the
Romulans continue to use D7
battlecruisers of Klingon origin in TAS. There are two variants
which have in common the additional torpedo tube of the Klingon TAS
battlecruisers.2) The Romulan ships in TAS: "The Survivor" sport a gray hull just like the Klingon D7. There is no green area at the forward end of each engine though. The most obvious special feature is a large Romulan emblem (or perhaps just decoration) in the form of a red-yellow feather pattern on the dorsal surface of the wings and on the nacelle struts. In addition, there seems to be yellow Romulan writing on the wings. While it is a shame that no genuine Romulan ship shows up in TAS, at least the hull markings establish a visually distinct Romulan version of the D7. The other version of the vessel can be seen in TAS: "The Practical Joker". The three ships in this episode are pale turquoise, and the logo or feather pattern is plain yellow here. In addition, the two domes on the command section are yellow as well. We may want to discount these dissimilarities as shortcomings of the rushed production of the series though. Uncertain Affiliations (TAS: "The Jihad")
Ships of Tchar, Sord,
Em-3-Green and Lara, seen in TAS: "The Jihad"
We can see four ships besides the Enterprise at the meeting point with the
Vedala, but there is no clue as to which ship belongs to whom. However, three of
these vessels have previously appeared in TAS: "The Time Trap". Only
the second vessel from the left seems to be new.
Unknown Affiliation (TAS: "Beyond the Farthest Star")
![]() Pod ship |
General
description The huge ancient pod ship of unknown origin is composed of various organic-looking pods of different sizes which are connected by curved branches. It is made of a material "harder and lighter than any registered metal" which was not cast or rolled but "spun". The power source of the pod ship is unknown, but it is believed to have warp drive. |
Known ships No name given |
Annotations The
pod ship's crew destroyed all pods in an attempt to get rid of a
non-corporeal entity that had taken control of the ship. |
Class specifications Age: more than 300 million years Length: approx. 3km |

database, seen on a display in TAS: "Beyond the Farthest Star"
We can watch how Spock scans the database to find ships similar to the ancient
pod ship.

Ships in the Delta
Triangle, seen in TAS: "The Time Trap"
With the exception of the Bonaventure
and the Klingon battlecruiser, no other ship in the Delta Triangle was
identified with a name or as belonging to a specific species. Some of them may
be Federation designs, considering that there are Vulcans, an Andorian and a
Tellarite in the Elysian Council. But although there are several ships with
Federation-style nacelles, there is no clue.
Vedalan
All-terrain vehicle |
General
description This multi-wheeled land vehicle is apparently of Vedalan origin. It is not built for fast speeds. |
Known vehicles No name given |
| Annotations It is not evident why the Vedala, who are known to be the oldest spacefaring race, provided just an old-fashioned car for the vital (in their view) expedition in TAS: "The Jihad". The reason may be that the hostile environment may have easily damaged anything more advanced just like it destroyed the car's controls right in the beginning. |
